The Bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of commercial banks, credit unions and non-banking credit companies in term of the supply of consumer loans to individuals. The comparison is performed based on an analysis of the supply of consumer loans provided by subjects selected out of the Czech market. The comparison brings a partial view of actual loans and highlights their main features, that are crucial in selecting.

Brno: Mendel University in Brno 2024 The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to identify the factors influencing consumers when choosing a commercial bank, to evaluate their products and services, and subsequently to choose the most suitable banking subject. The first part contains the definition of basic terms and processing of the literary research of theoretical literature in the banking domain and banking products. The second part contains two research phases. The first phase deals with a detailed description and comparison of selected domestic commercial banks, their products and services. In the second phase, a questionnaire survey is carried out with the aim of finding out the factors that influence customers when choosing a bank. The third part contains an evaluation of both phases of the research, including a comparison of the results and the determination of a suitable recommendation.
Development strategy of commercial banks

In this article, we analyze the key factors that determine the net interest margin (NIM) of EU commercial banks in the current economic environment. We examine a large number of annual data samples of 252 commercial banks in EU member states from 2015 to 2020. During this period, most countries experienced extremely low or even negative interest rates. In this article we test three hypotheses. First, commercial banks committed to providing financial products and services show the highest net interest margin (NIM). Second, the net interest margin of small commercial banks has dropped significantly under conditions of negative interest rate. Third, the net interest margin of Western European countries has dropped significantly under conditions of negative interest rate. Similar to other studies, we have obtained the positive-concave relationship between interest rates and NIM, and the regression coefficients of other bank-related variables and macroeconomic variables have also achieved similar results. Compared with other studies, we innovatively consider the impact of countries with different economic levels on the net present value of commercial banks. Relations of the central bank to commercial banks Abstract The thesis follows up the relations of the central bank towards commercial banks, with the main emphasis being placed on the Czech Republic, where the role of the central bank is carried out by the Czech National Bank. The main aim of this work is to describe and evaluate the relations between these institutions in terms of current legislation and focus on situations where this legislation does not evolve in the right direction. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and deals with the definition of institutions crucial for the topic itself. By both institutions, commercial banks and the central bank, are emphasized their legal anchoring and their main activities. Within this part, a separate chapter is devoted to the Czech National Bank and its independence, without which CNB would not be able to carry out its activities properly. This part will also analyze the banking system, which represents a summary of banking institutions in a certain state and a summary of individual links between them. This bachelor thesis refers to banks and their role in economy. The aim is to characterize the bank system, central bank, commercial banks and bank system in the Czech Republic and to compare provided current accounts of different commercial banks in the Czech Republic. First, the bank system and its components are theoretically explained, focusing on the function of banks in economy. Furthermore it refers to specific concrete bank products - the current account. The thesis compares current accounts of three commercial banks in the Czech Republic in 2011 and 2012 and evaluates which one is the best for different types of clients.

Opportunities and Possibility of new Banks in the Czech Market

This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of opportunities and possibilities of new banks in the Czech market. In the first four chapters there is summarized the theoretical background of concerning the financial market, the banking system, the central banking and the concept of commercial banks. The theoretical part is followed by chapter five, where PEST analysis is used in connection with the aim of this work to analyze the opportunities and possibilities of new banks in the market. The sixth chapter describes the banking sector in the Czech republic, the code mobility of clients and the new banks, which entered the Czech banking sector in 2007-2014. The seventh chapter characterizes the selected banks. The last chapter contains the analysis of the comparison of the position of the Sberbank according to its competition. The conclusion summarizes the whole issue of the thesis.
